ICC Honorary Chairman

Harold (Terry) McGraw III became Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce on 1 July 2013.

Mr McGraw, age 66, is Chairman Emeritus of McGraw Hill Financial, Inc, home to some of the most iconic brands in finance and business, including: Standard & Poor's Rating Services, S&P Capital IQ, S&P Dow Jones Indices, Platts and J.D. Power.

He served as non-executive Chairman of the Company from November 2013 to April 2015. Prior to his retirement in 2013, Mr. McGraw was Chairman of the Board since 2000, President and Chief Executive Officer since 1998 and served as President and Chief Operating Officer since 1993. Mr. McGraw joined the Company in 1980, and under his leadership, the Company grew significantly and transformed to focus on credit ratings, benchmarks, and analytics for the global capital and commodity markets. Mr. McGraw was a member of the Company’s Board of Directors from 1987 until 2015.

Mr. McGraw serves on the Boards of Directors of United Technologies and Phillips 66. He is Chairman of the International Chamber of Commerce, U.S. Council for International Business and the Emergency Committee for American Trade, and he is the former Chairman of the Business Roundtable. In 2009, Mr. McGraw was appointed by President Obama to the U.S.-India CEO Forum and is Chairman of the U.S. Trade Representative’s Advisory Committee for Trade Policy and Negotiations. He also serves on the boards of Asia Society, Committee Encouraging Corporate Philanthropy, and The New York Public Library.
